Lumumba was a scapegoat, delivered to the Italian police by Knox. Amanda Knox is not a scapegoat. She got away with murder (literally). Why does an ‘innocent’ person try her best to incriminate an innocent person as a murderer? What does that say about this ‘innocent’ person?

So, she was just making a funny when she fingered the barman, Patrick Lumumba, as the murderer when she was interrogated by the police? A man who was completely innocent, oh and also black, just like Guede. But nevermind!

Of course they are

You feel sorry for this nice young black man with a promising career as a rapper even though he was “charged with conspiracy to commit murder and a slew of gang-related gun and drug crimes”? I’d say he did get a slap on the wrist with only 7 years, not unlike Brock Turner. Conspiracy to commit murder alone should have

Oh, ok that clears things up.

I’m half Italian. My father is from Italy. We have plenty of relatives living in Italy. I could hop in my car an be in Italy in less than 3 hours. Could you please lecture me a little bit more about Italy and its judicial system, from your American POV?

Well, judging from the gist of comments here, Americans and their justice system seem to be vastly superior to this third world country namd Italy, where medieval hordes run amok, violating young and pretty American maids.

Amanda, our angel, she’s innocent cuz she’s blonde and pretty and ‘Murican as apple pie. The black guy (Rudy Guede) did it and those Italians (eyeroll), don’t you get me started about those people. They eat pasta and drink wine all day and they don’t even speak English like we do!! Their justice system is a joke, not

Uum, no...

Correctors are dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s, making sure it’s in the best literary style. Beyond that, their responsibility is basically that of a professional reviewer, or as some journalist once said:

Yep, Montgomery County, Pa.. Still an overrepresentation.

What has all of this to do with the fact that a 92% ratio of white jurors is not a fair ethnic representation, esp. in Philadelphia, where less than 50% are white? Why not give him at least a fair trial? If this was a black drug dealer in Louisiana, you’d wring your hands, decrying systemic racism.

Reviewers are not journalists

I never said that a reviewer had to fact check every mundane detail of a non-fictional book, but there is a responsibility for a professional reviewer to at least make sure that the verifiable contents vital to the story have been checked. Pretty much what your editor does too.

I’d agree, as far as readers are concerned. Reviewers on the other hand, are usually journalists. Fact checking is their day to day business, at least it should be (I’m looking at you, Chris Wallace).

Yet, you seem to be contend with the brigade of bottled blondes at Fox News, or at any other tv station. Well, at least they aren’t mediocre in the looks department.

Where I can or can’t go, what I should or shouldn’t read, what I should or shouldn’t comment on is not for you to decide. Needless to say I never said what you claimed I did.

when it comes to women’s lives we know more than you do

When you breeze through the tournament with no signs of slowing down, only to come out flat and tired at the semis, b/c you couldn’t physically recover from a tough 3-set match the day before, you shouldn’t blame a knee injury for your defeat. Her coach even went so far to say, that she could not even have played a

You do realize that Hope Solo’s career is over precisely because of her comments after the match?
