I haven’t played FFXIV since ‘14 but it was one of the only MMOs I actually enjoyed and felt was immersive. Had I the money I’d gladly get back into it. Or just save my pennies until the next Dragon Quest comes out.

Are the pixel remasters all for mobile devices/ steam?

I have FF1 on PSP (somewhere) and haven’t played it in 7 years, but would I be correct in assuming that it differs from these recent pixel remasters in some way?

 My take on piracy is very context dependent. For the sake of saving these games for archival purposes, then I’m all for taking them rather than see them gone forever.

Not just “couldn’t gave a shit” about preservation, but they appear to have an actively hostile stance which seems plain crazy to me.

I’ve only ever used 2 strategy guides, one was an unofficial Pokemon Red/Blue one and was great because I’d already finished the game. It was fun to collect all the hidden items, and know each Pokemon’s move list in advance so I could plan what I wanted from each.
