Their next title should be called Realtime Tactic Adventurer.

 

What do the futures hold for Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros Ultimate? They’ve got everything you could want in one game.
 
I guess the only thing they could do is scale down and start anew. For Smash Bros it’d be nice to keep the original core cast (though can’t imagine Bowser not being in it) and add all-new additional…

The musou crossover games have been great. Especially Persona 5 Strikers - there’s no way I can call that a “reskin” of a musou game.

 

I’ve always been curious about it, and having not played Trigger when it was new, never felt the let down of having Cross be so different.

I think it looks really nice and holy crap is that a big roster.

Realised it was Xenoblade as soon as the voiceover started. I gotta say, it sounded like a step up from the previous game.

Also the art style looks more consistent, I think? Something about it looked nicer. The rendering perhaps? Or maybe it was the character designs not looking as goofy. I did notice one character…

The writing is schlock of the highest order! If it gets a re-write, I hope it at least keeps that feel.

I understand what the game’s look is going for (Breath of the Wild, duh!), but it’s just not there.

I don’t own the game (yet) but I’ve heard more good things about it than I was expecting. I can see how the graphics probably wouldn’t bother me for the most part while I’m getting into the game. 

I’ll dip my toe in every couple of years and play some catchup. That’s my favourite approach to One Piece. I can’t fathom reading the latest chapters in piecemeal - it can be slow enough, but experiencing it that way must be agonising.

To the fans who say “shouldn’t take a break when the manga is dipping in quality!”…

I don’t know about this whole area, but I follow figure/ garage kit creators who acquire temporary licenses to exhibit/ sell these IP at places like Wonder Festival. I’m guessing that any more stock outside of the weekend is not to be sold, or maybe they allow for so many products to be sold or something? No idea how…

Hey, thanks for the insight! I grew up with the web in the 90s and during the early-to-mid 2000s (so not THAT old) definitely used it as a sort of escape from the stresses of highschool etc. I’ve always been a nerd and openly enjoyed things online that I couldn’t admit to in-person for fear of getting beaten up.

 But…

I feel too old to understand the relevance the internet has on people’s identities.

There’s gonna be a story where the most valuable person in the world is hunted down for having no money in their dna.

 I feel too burned by Sword & Shield I think. Its trading system is outright bizarre and easily my least favourite aspect of those games.

This was a ramble and a half and I’ve been drinking so that’s most likely why!

BUT jus to add - if it’s due to technical limitations of how to redesign the game, then that is absolutely fair. I’ve no knowledge of game development!

I was thinking about the difficulty options and how adjusting them can dilute the intentions of the developers. When they make a statement that the game is supposed to be gruelling, or difficult and stressful and that ties directly into the story etc. I agreed with that.
 
But then I realise whenever I’m making…

I loved this game! I really want a new one on Switch with 3D graphics.

I mean, I get it. Protecting the reputation of their IP etc.

But man. The idea of FPS combined with Pokemon sounded so damn edgy and then I saw it and in spite of the blood effects etc. it has so much potential to be something great. It looks fun! I like the environments.
