Neymar is a fucking assclown whose sense of entitlement is even bigger than his skills. He deserves a yellow card for his histrionics and it’s baffling refs turn a blind eye to all his unnecessary writhing on the pitch.

What’s so dirty about how Brazil plays?

I felt so badly for Japan. It felt like they were dominating the second half, they just couldn’t capitalize on their many other chances to score.

Any team that resorts to playing Fellaini deserves only the worst.

Also is it just me or does it seem like every four years, the world realizes that Japan can fucking play? The fact that were somehow ranked 61st on Earth is an utter joke

Usually because the wall reacts by charging out and cutting down the angle even further (which if you watch you can see the Swedish defender do). That was an insanely good shot, and if he hadn’t been able to put so much curve on it, it would have hit the defender.

Boateng’s red was a blessing in disguise because it forced some variety into their attack. Boateng was leading every charge into the Swedish half which is...not ideal.

I will be honest, when Boateng got that red card, I just lost faith that Germany would win this game. I was already mentally explaining to myself that at least Germany’s youth team is really good and they should be able to bounce back for the Euro 2020. Then that Kroos moment happened and I remembered why I love this

As a German fan, that loss hurt a lot, but Mexico played great and it is hard to not feel some joy for them.

that’s a perfectly fine call. i don’t listen to the Fox announcers but that qualifies as clever for them from what I’m told

Argentina still can’t beat an island of fishermen & farmers.

Still, kudos to Sports Illustrated for replacing Peter King so quickly.

Also, their kit sponsors are model world citizens who this website surely hasn’t harangued a thousand times about how the death toll from their current soccer-related construction projects will kill more people than 9/11 did.

I love how butthurt this post is, considering how Madrid spent EXACTLY ZERO EURO in new signings, while clubs like PSG, Barca and City broke the bank this season.

Barca were handed a transfer ban for illegally signing children, their players and execs routinely tamper with guys under contract elsewhere, and they sold Neymar for $263 damn million but I sure am glad their hands are clean of all the ickiness and capitalism of modern soccer.

I am mixed about this. I’ve been supporting Arsenal for more than half my life, before Wenger came on board, but he revolutionized the English, and probably the world game. I know it was past time but he deserved much better than the amount of vitriol he got from the support. Fuck Arsenal Fan TV I refuse to click that

FIFA/Madden are typically on sale for $30 each on Amazon right around Thanksgiving. That’s when I pick one or both up every year.

I love FIFA series, but I only buy it once every 5 or so years. Sports games are terribly overpriced. I can’t wait until they go to a cheaper model of updating a previous version for like $30 or so every year with new uniforms, rosters and perhaps a change or two to the game engine, I’d be all over that. Spending $60

Selling the most consoles, selling the most cross platform games, and making the most profit.

“That’s a team that could win 7 games, easy.”

I feel like the first few people downplaying this interview are plants or something.
