Volvo straight six in the prev gen XC60, V70, etc? Twin-scroll turbos for 300 HP. I loved that Volvo until it was totaled in an accident.   It had a few maintenance issues, but none too expensive and none engine related.  (Now that Haldex AWD, that was a bit more problematic).

I’ve had problems with them, true. But they’ve saved my ass a few times as well. A single save is worth a lot, IMO. I’ve never had a true false activation that caused me to be in danger, but I have had one on a curved ramp with a wall that scared me a bit...car braked a bit hard because the turn was sharp and it

Amazon has off brands that are pretty decent.  I bought a brand called “Bodega” and it runs quite well.

Learned about having them with me in NJ but now I have them with me everywhere.

yes, I want answers.   That said, after the pandemic, this is no longer so strange.

on my phone

you are indeed prepared...for something.

Individually wrapped wet wipes.

Hello fellow 12v fridge/freezer person!  Some I’m not as weird as some people think and I’m super practical, prepared, and (ahem), cool.

of all the things not efficient about the this vehicle, I suspect this is among the least of the things causing the problems.   I mean, I have a 12v freezer sitting in the back of my Mazda that can go to -6º F.

Yeah, I’m sure the Brits gave no consideration of this, or of any security whatsoever, and are terribly bad at it indeed, given that their queen is dead!

A hybrid, PHEV, or EV and I need to be able to tow a travel trailer with it.  This is probably not what you were looking for, but this is my highest priority right now.

ho hum...I have a weird bend in my ear canals. When I don’t clean/dry my ears daily I get ear infections. In fact, I’m literally taking antibiotics for one right now. Fun times. That said, I don’t stuff the thing all the way down to my ear drum.   Just in enough and a turn to dry things out.

IMO, that’s exactly what a minivan would tow well, albeit perhaps over the GCWR if it weighs as much as you say it does.

IMO, the best thing that should have been in this article was to go to energysage.com, where you can put in your info and get bids from contractors for PV installs. I was able to get people to come to my house and talk to me and explain why they did and didn’t agree with other bids. I went with a local guy. It was not

This is less than the typical pickup/travel trailer camping rig.  You seem surprised.

I think that’s what it’s for--towing a car on a trailer or a 6-7 foot tall uhaul box.  Not a full height travel trailer even if it was light enough to meet the 3,500lb weight requirement.

yes, we have the factory package installed, which most Odyssey vans with tow hitches do not actually have. But it’s just not meant for a tall camper trailer, even though ours was 2450 lbs dry with a 165lb tongue weight.   That wind front just puts too much stress on the whole rig.

Unlike most people we have the factory tow package—transmission cooler and all. I’m well aware of the issue with these transmissions, which is why I have retired it from towing.   We’ve been religious about ensuring we changed the fluid on schedule.   As I noted, on paper, the trailer and tongue weight do not exceed

even if I didn’t have kids, I’d have the minivan--hard to put much outdoor gear in the car.   I mean, my other car is a sedan, so it’s all good.  Maybe one day I’ll have a faster car, but it will have to be a convertible--if it’s not going to hold all my stuff, it might as well be complete fun over practicality.
