The original Power Rangers was really and truly awful, people. Applying a little grittiness and realism to a reboot can’t hurt.
It’s not a good deal at all. Not even close. First of all, there is a full or close to broadcast complement of commercials with nearly every show. The interface is absolutely, utterly horrible, and their backend technology is far worse than Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix (meaning that streaming quality is often worse and…
What are you talking about? The vast majority of shows have no commercials with Hulu Plus. The ones that still have commercials have one at the beginning and one at the end, and it is obviously super easy to just stop the stream at the end and not watch that commercial.
Where is the evidence that Fantastic Beasts will be lower quality? There certainly hasn’t been any buzz to that effect. It’s possible, but nobody has any idea yet.
Yes it did. Glad to clear that up for you! My good deed for the day.
Can’t be starred enough!!
The show is fun. Crazy, ridiculous, batshit, but fun.
Thorne mentions his powers will have some limitations and drawbacks, I’m sure in response to your argument.
You got one thing right. You are most definitely not a Star Trek fan if you think 2009 Star Trek was better than every other Star Trek movie since Wrath of Khan.
Oh my god, that 2013 cast is fucking amazing. I have to find that and listen to it!
He’s like Hawkman, he just keeps getting reborn in different lives.
I like Person of Interest too, but its massively overrated by most geeks. The quality (acting, writing, plotting) is wildly inconsistent, and too often it just drops the overall (interesting) machine war plot arc for no reason to switch to deeply uninteresting one-off stories.
How in the hell is this supposed to work? Superman is already in tights by the time Kara arrives on Earth (~10 years ago). So he has to be around 37 (Melissa Benoist is 27). Tyler Hoechlin is 28.
We don’t know that the rules aren’t different. The Q-vents certainly are.
Aren’t you boys forgetting someone?
Kirk was probably the most human captain, especially the deepening of his character that we saw in the movies. (While the Original Series has its absolutely awesome moments, overall I really can’t get into it much, compared to TNG, DS9, or even Voyager. But I absolutely love every one of the Original Series movies…
The theaters are basically already writing off Warcraft as a loss, at least in Portland, OR. It only has 4 showtimes in each of the two Regal theaters closest to the city, which is pretty unprecedented for a major Hollywood summer movie in its opening weekend.
And more generally, Star Trek is post scarcity, other than the things that can’t be replicated (like antimatter, dilithium, latinum, etc.)
I think this is an awesome idea, especially if you have to show your ticket to the movie (from that theater) to get the dvd there, and you can only get one dvd per ticket. It should cost a few bucks more than retail, and the theater gets the extra, along with the normal profit margin built into the retail price. The…
