How have they proven to have the better Jungle Book? The other one isn’t out yet, and there really is no indication of how good it is going to be?

That “Do Nothing!” line was cut from the episode after the teaser was cut. I know that because that line got seared into my ears the first time I heard it, because of how ridiculous it sounded. And then it was nowhere to be found in the actual episode.

I think that they probably technically had crossed some lines, and given that they were going to be making some money off this, Paramount should probably get a cut. But the Paramount and CBS should have tried to come to terms with them before they just went and sued them.

There is no doubt that Hillary is a weak general election candidate, disliked by vast swaths of independents. Against any reasonable Republican, or even someone who is flexible enough to wear the skin of a reasonable Republican occasionally if it suits him (Cruz), I think it would be hard for her to pull out a win in

Yes! That scene was the best!

I like Lincoln, but you’d have to pry Skye out of my cold, dead hands! :)

I can’t imagine that they won’t change that name before it comes out.

I can’t imagine what you like.

You know what would be cool? If they filmed scenes with Rickon over the last several years that he hasn’t been on the show, that they stitch together into a flashback episode this season, that shows him growing up and possibly being trained to be a badass.

And his look would probably be improved substantially by moving to a practical effect. The Uncanny Valley is not kind to humanoid characters done in CG on a TV budget (or even a movie budget, often)

It wasn’t for profit. They actually paid the people that were working on the project a salary. Wow, sue them to oblivion! Nobody was going to live on what they were making, but the Kickstarter was unacceptably successful, so they were going to funnel that into the project. CBS should have let it go.

The one thing I’ll disagree with you about is that if there had not been major movement on the other plot points, Jon’s Snow’s resurrection would not have been enough to make this a good episode.

It is pretty amazing what Laika has been able to do, combining seamless CGI with incredibly intricate stop-motion animation that doesn’t take away from the physical nature of the animation, it just enhances it. And they do all this without forgetting the importance of actually having an excellent story behind

We say “Nineteen oh two”, “Nineteen Thirty”, “Nineteen Sixty-Two”, etc. Why wouldn’t we say “Twenty oh two”, “Twenty Sixteen”, “Twenty Thirty-four”, etc.? For me, the argument isn’t as much about efficiency as consistency.

I was gonna say. Wasn’t The Phantom Menace initially given rave reviews by viewers that saw it before the general populace?

They have allowed Star Trek Continues to produce multiple episodes while violating all of these copyrights. It is already a “professional level” production. So they’re trademarks are already null in void, right? The suit should be thrown out, and CBS should be forced to pay Axanar’s attorney’s fees.

If you’re about halfway through Supernatural, then you’re just about done. You really don’t need to (please don’t, for the love of god) watch the last several seasons.

As far as individual episodes go, I absolutely agree with you that TV doesn’t get better than TNG at its best. It has some of the best episodes of any TV show in history, hands down. New Trek will have to be more serialized, though, (like DS9, but starting right away), to fit with modern tastes, and I hope it can pull

I don't think he is completely lieing. They probably have been aiming for an R rating for all the solo Wolverine movies, but their pleas have been summarily rejected by the studio until Deadpool proved an R rated movie could be such a huge hit.

The Man in the High Castle was pretty brilliant, in my view. It has its its issues with pacing at times, but overall, very well done.
