He had multiple discussions with CBS, and they said they wouldn’t sue if Axanar made no profit. They are doing what they are supposed to do, and CBS is changing the rules. CBS absolutely doesn’t have to sue, they are choosing to.

I hope someone at io9 is going to do a review of the SW:TFA official novelization. I plan to read it eventually, and I hope/imagine that it will have more background on characters (especially the main ones) that the movie left out.

Especially Flash. It had a lot of the same problems with uneven quality and poor writing that Supergirl has, and it got over them (for the most part)

Melissa and Calista absolutely carry the show right now (although I rather like Cara’s sister too). The other side character definitely need some TLC. The writing needs some work, although people need to remember that shows like this often need time to find their groove (Flash took a while)

I absolutely agree. I really, really wish this show was on CW, because its lackluster ratings would be more forgivable there (Yes, the ratings would be lower automatically with it being on the CW, but by now, most of the people watching are people that would be watching this show on the CW.), and CW just seems to be a

It’s not an awful show, at all. It’s definitely a wildly uneven show, and in that vein, there are some awful moments, but overall, its improving. I agree with the problems that this review mentioned, but on balance, this was probably the best episode of the show so far. The awesome moments were just beyond fantastic,

Just shut up. The first Avatar was fantastic.

Maybe Nemesis. Insurrections a little bit. And certainly the first 2 nuTrek a lot. But absolutely not any other Trek movies. The rest were certainly bigger in spectacle than a typical episode but absolutely were in the spirit of Star Trek.

You binged it but didn’t really understand what you were watching? Apparently. You absolutely could not do most Star Trek movies on TV, especially those 2 movies. Were you sleeping while watching this weekend. You should get more sleep during the week.

I’m from Portland (Laika’s home town), so I might be a little biased, but I think Laika is the closest thing to Pixar out there. (Better than some of Pixar’s recent films, like the Cars franchise and probably the Good Dinosaur, not quite up to Pixar’s best (the rest), but what is. And still a small independent studio,

Yea, the soundtrack was filled with classic tracks, rescoring them would have been the sin.

I like Supergirl, but come one, every single episode of Jessica Jones was miles ahead of every episode of Supergirl so far.

No, it’s not. It has its (many) moments, but it is not an insane, batshit show. Gotham is so crazy that your eyes just don’t stop rolling.

Supergirl is absolutely in the same league of quality as Flash and Arrow were in their first seasons. The Flash was especially shaky in its first season. I do kind of agree that the show might be better on CW, just because that network is used to shows like this, and CBS is so utterly befuddled with it.

Hey, the books were decent. Not award winning, in any way, but decent entertainment.

Really? Name one movie that he’s directed in the last 12 years that will be remembered 12 years from now. You can’t do it. His last really great movies are Minority Report and Catch me if you can in 2002.

Now that I look at his filmography, it’s littered with stinkers and a few “ok” movies. It seems highly unlikely that he will break his track record with Prometheus 2.

I second your hating of his face. How the hell this guy got another job after Nemesis is completely beyond me.

No, that’s not what she he/she means. Your comment is an example of what their worried about, though.

Given what this family has endured over the last 60 years, 5.2 million doesn’t seem like such a good deal. At last 10 times that is a good start to begin to compensate them for what they have been put through. It’s not like the Air Force can’t afford it.
