I agree, though it’s not really the battery size as much as it is the terrible efficiency. The Model 3 LW AWD has ~ 7% usably bigger battery and around a 63% greater range than the e-tron and that is being generous comparing the EPA rating for the 3 vs. the WLTP for the e-tron 50. The Model Y LR AWD, which has the

It means this isn’t entry level, and isn’t even competitive with current offerings

He means this car was obsolete the minute it hit the showroom

(true)

On top of those, there’s a high-definition backup camera with park assist (handy, since there’s an engine right behind you)

Even if it didn’t shut off it just fundamentally ignores the concept of cruise control.  Cars calculate their speed based the rotational velocity of the wheels. Absolute worst case, even if cruise control tries to accelerate with no grip, the wheelspin is not going to exceed whatever it’s set at.  As soon as the

You probably didn’t know because, like me, you aren’t on Facebook.

I’m trying to counter the pervasive idea that cruise is inherently dangerous in the rain, and somehow keeps going when you lose control, which just isn’t true. Most moderate rain it’s likely fine, and if you do get in trouble, cruise will kick off. These posts all rely on the idea that cruise control in the wet will

I think lapped cars should be allowed to turn around and drive in the opposite direction at full throttle, take out a few opponents, then pause and hit ‘Restart Race’.

...wait, what are we talking about again?

I honestly thought he had passed away.  Glad to hear he is making some progress.  It has to be so devastating.

Good thing f1 is getting ready to de-rate the engine and go more in the direction of a spec series. because the lesson of the last 25 years of f1 is that lowering engine power and going in a more aero-focused direction makes the sport more popular. (This is sarcasm, i’m being sarcastic. The sport should have 3000 HP

Not all Italians are from New Jersey ;-)

I’m glad Renault is somewhat open about it.  I enjoy hearing details about these cars,  but it’s so hard to get anyone to spill the beans -- for obvious reasons -- but this is supposed to be entertainment.

They havent widened shit! Look at the gif- if your ass doesn’t fit in the middle seat, its not because of the width of the pad, its because you don’t fit between the armrests. The armrests don’t widen in that image.

So the seat gets “wider” but the arm rests and adjacent seats don’t move at all .... so the seat isn’t actually wider ...

That being said, they still need to be held to account, to some extent

They’re resisting it because people REALLY suck at multi tasking. Way more people die from distracted driving every year than die from being left in a hot car.

I remember one morning with my youngest I was so damn tired. Just exhausted. He was about 6 months old. Maybe a little older? I was on autopilot and I was just driving to work. I was about a block away from the office and he made a cooing noise - a gurgle or something - after having been super quiet the whole way to

I think that WaPo article should be required reading for everyone.
