Absolutely. My wife hated the accent while we were watching, but I thought it perfectly suited the character. Shit, my head canon is that the accent is an affectation anyway. Every great fictional detective needs a good affectation (Wasn’t Poirot’s cane an affectation? And Sherlock had like six affectations).
