The biggest concern I’d have with an iPad 2 would be the wifi speed. I think it only has N (The steam link is actually capable). You might be able to manage, but it might be a bit laggy.

Hrdwired will always be best, but if you’re willing to make some graphical compromises, AC can be pretty smooth. My desktop is in my living room and my Steam Link is up in the attic (Third floor) and I managed okay with a AC connection on both ends.

On the host side, sure. I run Steam off of a netbook, though, and never have problems. Don’t really need anything for the other end.

Super low, realistically, for the client machine. I use the remote play on my netbook (Celeron, 4gb RAM, not GPU) and it runs fine. The host computer does the legwork.
