If they integrate it you end up with a huge tall mass of empty dash board behind it. This is the best solution for small cars like this.
I still hate the 7th gen taillamps. It went from being an obvious Fiesta,to a sort of generic “any hatchback” look. That plus the little dimple in the nose makes this look like a car Kia would take to SEMA to show off how cool and sporty and youthful they are now
