I’m part Tohono O’odham and I married into a Tohono O’odham family. The border has bisected our traditional homelands since 1848, as well as other border tribes-the Lipan Apache, Yoeme (Yaquí), Kickapoo and I believe also the Tuscarora tribes. For the first few decades after the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, most

Hot take: Gillibrand’s been my top choice to run since last summer and might have the best chance of winning. Another hot take: there’s also a whole bunch of people who aren’t her who I also like and would be completely happy if they won too

Policing in the United States, which largely evolved out of the runaway slave patrols of antebellum era, is historically and currently rooted in racism and enforcement of the rights to property and ownership above those of human beings; to be “pro-police” in the US means to support those power structures still.

This cosplay is fuckin’ awful.

“The Democrats have their finger on the block button, vowing to block every single bit of legislation flowing through Congress that doesn’t ensure the re-opening of the government. Looks like Pelosi, Schumer, and co. are remaining firm with this one.”

I’m glad Pelosi and Schumer are made of stronger stuff than I am, as this game of government chicken against a crazy person is making me nervous.

So I agree with a lot of what is here. My own points are first and foremost that all the queens especially at this point are strong in their own ways so week is going to really be easy to see people go.

I adore Latrice! I have seen her first appearance. But she hasn’t been as strong as I know she can be the last couple

Pelosi is pretty much the Olenna of Congress.

Maybe she can’t turn up like she used to. Shit just creeps up on you soemtimes.

The only way this story could involve dumber people is if it took place in Florida.

Why do you think he was ordering the Army to shoot rock-throwers!

So, I think the nexus of this was when the Idiot in Charge went to the border some time ago (San Diego area I think...). He talked to an agent there (where they have concrete walls with essentially windows), and said something to the effect of, “we’ll build more of these, but with no holes”, and the agent said “well,

Fine.

This is the only correct answer. Pull for your candidate until the primary is settled, but for the love of Cthulhu once it is settled get behind the agreed to candidate.

“Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” is perhaps more applicable here than anywhere else. Not voting for anyone but the perfect Democratic candidate will get you Donald Trump 2.0, period.

This^^^^^ No matter who the Democratic nominee is, get off your ass and go vote. You've seen what gets in when you don't.

I like Elizabeth Warren more than I like most other politicians, but she needs someone one her staff to keep her from walking into obvious traps, like that DNA test she took. If she can’t avoid shit like that, her presidential run will be fucked.

We need to turn out the vote, and I just don’t think these old folks have what it takes to do so. The DNC needs to look at the success of people like AOC and run with a younger set of candidates.

In the end, it honestly doesn’t matter who is the Democratic nominee. YOU MUST VOTE FOR THAT PERSON!!!!1111

So what’s the over-under on this? Either the courts revisit that lawsuit and Scientology starts facing a bunch more similar ones, which they will litigate aggressively, vindictively, and ceaselessly until they win; or, the courts accept the argument, and an abusive cult that kept women as sex slaves is allowed to
