“a choice between two philosophies, each with its own merits.” the fact that they’ve covered previous elections this way is damning in it’s own right.

It’s routine for tournament organizers to purchase hole-in-one insurance against the possibility of a participant pulling off the feat; it’s the insurer who pays when someone wins the prize. Here’e the website for just one of the companies who offers this service:
The charity didn’t put on the tournament. It was for a different charity. The golf course ran the tournament, which is why they were sued. That’s a private business interest of Trump’s.
And that is the “genius” of Trump. By constantly projecting his worse qualities onto everyone else, especially HRC, when someone pins his ass to the wall as the Washington Post and NYT have done several times, the right says HRC is just as bad and the media covers it as both have been subject of numerous allegations.
If there was any justice in the world, Trump’s shamelessness in running for office would directly lead to criminal charges as a result of more thorough examination of his dealings.
We still had something of a manufacturing sector in 1979. It goes like this:
Yeah I found it pretty amusing that Indiana cut taxes and instituted RTW and then, right around the time Pence got the VP nod, Carrier announced it was closing a factory and shipping 1,500 jobs to Mexico.
First of all, Asians aren’t doing better than white people:
Yes! Issues like redlining, or demolishing predominantly black neighborhoods to build a highway, or gerrymandering congressional districts, or shutting down schools in black neighborhoods due to budget cuts all work against people of color in this country. Racism isn't all white hoods and burning crosses- it runs a…
Yeah, it’s like our whole country is supposed to be some kind of millennial “safe space” where nobody is unfairly discriminated against or economically disenfranchised for their skin color. What, now you need a “trigger warning” before we continue to fuel corporate profits off the legacy of slavery while ignoring the…
Yes. This notion that intention is required in order for something to be racist is poisonous. It doesn’t matter what is in your heart when your, your company’s, or your community’s actions reinforce inequality. Racist attitudes are not a prerequisite for racist activities., though they are frequently symbiotic.
The system works for those in control of the system. Fighting between groups in the same social strata keeps their attention away from the idea that everybody is being fucked over to keep the system working for those at the top.
Ok, 100% totally agree, but this article is missing the second half, which is a solution or a reason for the differences in wages.
Hamilton, people like you will never be happy until everyone has an equal opportunity to pursue the American dream, regardless or race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or status of birth.
Particularly frustrating that so many well-meaning, progressive people seem to define racism purely in terms of attitudes and language rather than structural economic forces. You can’t solve this by yelling at people for using problematic language on Twitter. But that stuff sucks up such a huge portion of the…
There’s so much cognitiverton dissonance with the right, but I especially like the whole super macho tough guy thing while simultaneously piddling down their leg in fear of brown people.
Your limited posting history seems rather trollish, but I’ll bite. Who is sympathizing with him? No one is suggesting he not be investigated or not stand trial.
Actually, “enemy combatant” is a term coined by SCOTUS in Ex Parte Quirin not by Bush. Bush brought the term back into the American people’s vocabulary but he didn’t coin the term, but why let facts get in the way?
FYI: Toddlers have killed more Americans this year than terrorists.
Take it easy on Lindsey, he’s just frustrated that because of his first name, the RNC won’t let him use the men’s room.
