His PR team is desperately trying to shove him in a direction he clearly doesn’t want to go. He knows his base eats up that birther nonsense; if he publicly walks it back now, after these several years, I’ll be shocked.

It’s still a fucked up argument because it basically admits being a Gropey McFuckface. And also, in this case, easy for the university to prove he’s full of shit because he’d have to show other people weren’t punished in the same period as he was, in light of the push against sexism on campuses.

Legal wise it seems like a solid argument if he can prove it. At least from what I’ve read about wrongful termination law suits.
