    @whosafraidofmargaretthatcher: You should see the completely confused looks on multiple strangers face when they see my sister. She's a punk-goth, stylistically, and while she is white, her baby a quarter each of Korean and Japanese. People don't know what to make of it. Since they can't fathom that someone who looks

    @leftyleftylou: I never said I didn't like her, that's rather presumptuous of you. As much as I like her music, I always found her near-glamorization of condomless sex by likening it to the writing process to be a little tasteless, if not irresponsible.

    What I'm trying to figure out is where Claire's disappearance with Christian fits into all this. She wandered off with what was likely the smoke monster mimicking or using Christian's body, she was later seen with him in the cabin...and now, what, she's alive and just crazy? Hm. Just, hm.

    @leftyleftylou: Right right, a metaphor, that always makes careless comments acceptable. I obviously don't understand how wonderful and funky and different and irreverent she is.

    "Very serious" and yet, she says silly crap like: "When you make music or write or create, it's really your job to have mind-blowing, irresponsible, condomless sex with whatever idea it is you're writing about at the time."

    Tht Tr snds lk smrmy btch tht nds t gt slppd.

    "It would be absurd to not consider what it is that I can potentially do to help our country."

    @quitelikely: Not to mention, it smacks of cluelessness and insincerity that she doesn't know her own positions well enough to do it from memory. I mean really, she had to remind herself about tax cuts?!?

    You know what, before I hyperventilate over Sarah Palin's "prospects" for running in 2012, I'm going to try to give the Republican party a little more credit than that, and tell myself that they have better sense than to let her participate this time around.

    @slowpoke.r: Thank you for pointing that out. When I was 16 and my parents kicked me out of the house, the two free meals I got at school were the only meals I got each day unless I swiped something from work (I was employed at a grocery store after school until closing, was barely making enough for rent and still

    @aimeeg: Oh def, I'm not trying to deny that there's a dynamic like that. I liked best what Carrie Fisher had to say about it, basically "I'm fifty fucking years old, I'm sorry I forgot my obligation to live on sunflower seeds and stay exactly as hot as I was thirty years ago!"

    Well if it gets you free candy, I'm all in.

    @Heart O'Darkness: Thelma and Louise are quite possibly the best boob names I've ever heard.

    @aimeeg: I think some of the rage, even if people can't quite express it, comes from the feeling of "How dare they try to pass this off to me as normal or accurate when its anything but." I'm not shocked at how she looks, but that they would try to make her pass for something that she's not and expect us not to

    @madeofawesome has gone rogue: I'm not callous at all. And being told to have respect for people from someone who lost a star for going around bossing everyone about their grammar— that's just rich. You seem to just want to find a reason to criticize people, period.

    Sigh. Using your sexuality to get what you want: degrading and anti-feminist. Not using your sexuality to get what you want: still anti-feminist. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

    @madeofawesome has gone rogue: So sorry to traipse on your delicate sensibilities, but she looks like two complete different people in those photos and that to me is garbage. All that makeup looks trashy to me, and I'm not obligated to like it.

    @schmytty: Flippity floppity floo.
