Dark/gloomy games can still exist and people can still enjoy them.  They don’t have to adhere to any specific “era.”

I have no doubt Cyberpunk will come to next gen consoles at some point, but I don’t think it will be at launch.  My guess is later in 2021.

It’s cool they’re appealing to kids with this but I hope they eventually do regular Mario sets too.

Have you not seen the Pirates of Barracuda Bay set?

Who cares.

The game has gotten great reviews so far and is a top seller on Amazon.

It’s because it was Luke and if he doesn’t like something it equals “worse thing ever”

I think it’s pretty plausible they could release a PS4 version but who knows.  Wish they would just confirm it one way or the other but obviously they want to focus on the PS5.

Agreed. Kotaku’s doesn’t usually write regular game reviews. They’re more like a thesis.

I didn’t find it scathing. I get the impression that it’s a good game but depending how you feel about the subject matter and its brutality, it may overshadow the enjoyment for some.  It’s going to be a polarizing game for sure.

They’re kinda damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

It can be be both. They can express sincere empathy but at the same time do what works best for them business-wise.  Things aren’t always one or the other.

I really, really doubt we’ll get any of those at launch. A Horizon sequel could be a longshot since the original came out in 2017 but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Well you heard it here, folks. The Spider-Man game is boring because B.A. Brown said so. The millions who played and enjoyed it were wrong all along.

Bad if you’re looking at it from the perspective of an average gamer. It was more for developers, though Sony did a poor job communicating that.

Never read the manga but watched the first 3 seasons of the anime on Hulu. I thought it was great. That includes season 2 which so many seem to complaining about. I guess things slowed down a little bit, but watching episodes back-to-back and fast forwarding through credits and recaps never made it seem that bad.

Cool.

Well the dog was going to kill her too, so self-defense?

Speak for yourself. I thought TLOU 1 was great and TLOU 2 is looking great too. Maybe I won’t like the entire package after I play it, but for now I’m optimistic.

Jason’s a great journalist but I always thought he was a terrible reviewer to be honest.
