I loved Advance Wars but Wargroove never really quite clicked for me. A lot of the battles quickly became a slog and when you lose after an hour, it just became...not fun. AW had moments like that too but at least that game felt better/faster.

Sure, if you’re talking about this year maybe.  Nintendo has to save something for next year when the competition releases their new consoles.

A Pro model isn’t likely for this year, but that doesn’t mean it’s not coming at all.  I’d be willing to bet it releases right around the time the new Xbox and Playstation hit next year.

The writing doesn’t take itself too seriously and is actually pretty funny a lot of the times. I’m not really sure what OP is talking about. I’ve literally never heard the complaint that this game has bad writing.  Regardless, the platforming is the main focus anyway.

Seriously? I thought the writing (at least the humor part) was one of its strongest points.  I literally laughed out loud at multiple points.

The skill it takes to play these is something else but I think I’m more impressed by how he conceives and creates every obstacle. I feel it takes me 20 minutes to design things that are much, much simpler.

It’s much more likely the Lite is their focus this holiday season and any potential Pro model will be released next year.

Eh, I don’t think so. This looks more like a live action adaptation which is what it is. It’s not going to be possible to find actors who look exactly like their in-game counterparts.
