Well, you have obviously thought it through and understand the financial and legal ramifications.

Well, I'm sure there are people out there who know much more about how to help than I do. But I would like to encourage you to write letters in support of Head Start and donate, if you can. And offer to volunteer.

I just can't imagine what women do if they don't have a man to drive them around.

You're right. I couldn't figure out how to put that thought into words earlier.

I totally agree that there is a lot of pressure for Russian women.

Right, I knew so many women who had a lot of power at work, but made life tough for themselves at home.

That's interesting. Maybe it's a case for going into a marriage with very clean expectations!

gerbilllll, that's exactly the impression I got when I was there. Also, they're often better-educated than their husbands. There is nothing weird (and hasn't been for a very long time) about women who are doctors, etc.

That's interesting. Everyone I know who has done it has been quite secretive about it—just like in the first days of online dating when there was a bit of a stigma.

Wow, interesting. I will have to look it up.

I have noticed that too. And the thing is, women from Russia and Ukraine are simply not raised to be quiet and not stand up for themselves. I guess, like another commenter said, they must be willing to put on an act.

I would love to know how these relationships turn out. I have known/heard of several men who have gotten themselves mail order brides because they want a subservient woman. But I have lived in Ukraine and Russia and the women are not that subservient.

But not when they're passengers.

Let us know if you need us to call 911 to get rid of that person who is forcing you to read it.

I'm so disappointed to hear that. It sure doesn't seem to be in keeping with the image they promote.

Well, let's keep an eye on it! I'd be interested to know if deleting is the policy!

You're deliberately being obtuse. I come to this page for the dirt. My problem with the Daily Mail does not involve the dirt. It is about the general ugliness towards women. For example, presenting underage victims of sexual predators as temptresses.

Hmm, it can't have been me because my posts have both been deleted immediately, before anyone has responded (at least, that I know of). I wasn't rude. I simply pointed out that the Daily Mail promotes ugly attitudes towards women ("feminist" is always used as a pejorative!). I figured that being a US-based website,

I would love to see criticism here of the Daily Mail, but I can't say I ever have. I'm glad to hear that it does happen.

I don't think you understand. I would have no problem if they directed to TMZ. We're not talking about dirt here.
