Personally? Very smart those who didn’t take it.  I see nothing altruistic in this offer, and much that is cynical.  Anyone who accepts this money could implicitly be accepting it as a settlement in waiver of all liabilities.  Oh it’s a bullshit ploy to limit his liability, and nothing more.
