The Fairness Doctrine was an FCC regulation that only applied to the broadcast airwaves owned by the Feds. It never would have applied to cable channels like Fox News, OANN, or the whole internet. Any attempt to have a Fairness Doctrine that applies to private channels would run smack into First Amendment suits.

That’s the republican recipe. Put a small amount of money in your pocket from tax cuts while canceling/defunding many of government services you rely on.

Depends on the circumstances. If it’s a left turn lane, squeezing a couple more cars in can mean the normal lanes don’t get stopped up. Similarly, squeezing the left lane towards the intersection can leave the entrance to the turn lane clear so it can fill up all the way and make the most of the left arrow.
