I suspect there is a bit of overlap with those two groups, with the latter having lost massive amounts of their investment in the past 6+ months. Saw CSN at a winery show in 2008.  A couple of songs in, Crosby chastised the audience for bouncing a beach ball around, saying it was “distracting”.  They’re playing the same songs for 30+ years, and they can’t remember how if there is a ball bouncing around?  What a beautiful voice for such a misanthropic man.

As a “business lawyer”, he probably has an LLC that was the entity contracted to be the executive producer.  As a business lawyer, he probably knows all kinds of ways for an LLC to reduce its tax burden compared to an individual’s personal income tax.

I’m going to assume it’s a tax-dodging way for him to get even more money out of the settlement. Kind of like why starring actors make movies with their production company, rather than just sign on as an employee with a high salary.

I wonder if the writers will take an episode off and have Larroquette trapped in the rickety old elevator for 20 minutes? They only did that 3 times in the original series, so there’s got to be more he can do with that premise.

Insurance is one of those not-so-hidden costs of a new vehicle that few people truly consider when making a purchase. If you’re carrying a note on the car, you’ll probably be required to carry comprehensive coverage instead of just liability. That could easily be $300/mo added to your total costs.

New model designs would require some amount of re-tooling in the factories, after all the R&D work was done.  That costs money, and would eat into profit margins.  Elon hasn’t gotten to that chapter in his little book of “How to be an Automotive Mogul” yet.
