I taught her how to do a burnout. :)

Her stint at hosting a roast on TNT a year ago was a disaster. She was sloppy drunk at the start, and kept on drinking through the show. The taping took forever because she botched all of her lines multiple times. I’m really surprised she’s getting another shot at taping a show in front of a studio audience again.

So many cult members are from abusive backgrounds it becomes pretty clear how easy it is to brainwash them. They have no true concept of “normal life”, so even just a different kind of abuse feels like a relief compared to their childhood, or just what they think they deserve. Cult leaders are predators that don’t so

I chuckle at the folks who think automatic transmissions haven’t advanced since 1970, therefore a manual must be still be better, it’s just too hard for wusses to master, etc. Also the “I get better mileage!” bullshit ignores all the time the spent revving the fucking engine while in neutral for the juvenile thrill

Like most American companies, Hertz was so heavily leveraged that they couldn’t survive a single unprofitable week, much less a disaster year.

Ever notice that cryptocurrency is always measured in USD?

That’s like the loan shark who really doesn’t like to break the legs of his delinquent customers, but that’s just part of the business, so whaddaya gonna do?

The roof is specifically marketed to people as a way to charge their car, but you knew that already and decided to be a troll anyhow.

Who would have thought that upper-middle class folks with 50K to spend on redundant power supplies would also live in large houses with complex roofs? And that those people would either be lawyers or closely related to one?

If the dude had the kind of money to arrange for a helicopter to come grab him and fly him to international waters so he could go home (?), he wouldn’t have been on the ship working for squat in the first place.

That chart would be all purple spots.

Honda has also always been considered a company that makes excellent engines and places them in a wide variety of applications. Making an electric car isn’t their top priority. Making a “Honda” electric power plant is a top priority, and we’re still in the early stages of that technological era. I fully expect Honda

They took the lesser PR hit of dropping out of the race because of range anxiety rather than the massive embarrassment of their truck dying in the middle of the course. Those visuals could sink the company.

I’m thinking it will be a little like the switch to digital TV. That deadline kept getting pushed back as all the local TV stations that were still depreciating 10+ year old equipment balked at the enforced expenditure of premature replacements. Progress sounds great until it wipes out your asset value.

How is that germane to this conversation?

Seattle is a great example of pushing bikes as an alternative mode of transit despite the numerous disadvantages of topography and climate. If only cities with flat streets and warm, dry weather put half as much energy into promoting bikes as Seattle does.

Deserted parking lots and dirt roads are, however, the ideal places to stand around and stroke your libido.

Always remember that the top priority of the insurance business is collecting premiums, and the lowest priority is paying claims.

Exactly.  What this guy is describing essentially doesn’t matter in any statistical sense.  Total red herring.
