I agree, much of this season has been too much of a snail’s pace. It’s like they came up for the concept for the story and liked it but didn’t have enough material to fill up the number of episodes (Like many of the Netflix story arcs).

I think the leaked Lego set description gives some info on why the battle is occurring:
