Oh Jesus Fucking Christ. I was going to write something snarky, but it feels like this comment is so over the top that it is a satire of itself. And I don’t even mean that as a joke.

To be fair, if you take the snark out of Sam, there’s nothing but an empty shell left behind.
File this under who gives a shit.
Tbf I don’t think MCU properly worked out how to phase Spidey into their superhero world. He get dumped into Civil War midway through production and we get a knowingly brief overview of his backstory. Then as you point out he’s gifted Tony Stark as a father figure and his story get framed through that narrative.
Whether we agree or disagree politically/culturally/socially, on this or any other manner, I have a hard time understanding that you’re willing to waste your time in this way. That you have so little else going on in your life. I did dismiss your replies just as I will always do when they have so little to say: they…
Bryan Cranston, also gave his thoughts on Cancel Culture™ recently, and said things along the same lines. I might be out of line here, but to simply note that sometimes it can get out of hand seems reasonable enough to say, right?
AV Club tells me “cancel culture” is not real; ContraPoints, a transwoman who routinely produces pieces far more insightful than anything I’ve seen at AV Club (outside of an occasional Teti or O’Neal piece, when they were things), describes the phenomenon and her experience of it, at length.
Don’t forget the ones who neither know or care what is going on as long as they get that sweet outrage hit. Getting those people to mindlessly scream into the void is the Twitter and Facebook business model.
There's like a dozen cancel hashtags on Twitter at any given moment, but the AV Club still thinks "cancel culture" is a manufactured boogeyman of old white guys.
he joins a chorus of privileged public figures who have felt a need to speak out against this maligned “cancel culture”—which tends to actually consist of marginalized communities speaking out against sustained, systemic abuse
In fairness, if people couldn’t take offence at your choice of words then they’d have to thoughtfully respond to your objection.
It doesn't have to be tangentially related. He's adding your name and a link to his spreadsheet so the next time you say something he disagrees with, he can respond with "This from the person who thinks X."
There’s also people like Keenan or Darrel Hammond where shows like SNL are really their calling rather than a stepping stone, and when they’re on they’re damn good.
Honestly if SNL’s had a problem in recent years it’s that they don’t have enough people abusing drugs
A few months back when Mulaney was getting so much press and praise I remarked that he’ll probably crash soon. Can’t even remember how many people here threw shit at me.
“a solid contender for the title of Best Hollywood Chris” - Crikey, enough with this tired gag, please. Even if it’s technically punching up, it’s still a form of cyber-bullying, implies objective truths where there are none, and rests entirely upon a lame observation of actors sharing a first name as if that’s some…
Ahh the AVclub, where they’ll “snark” about a directors comments about a streaming service (which doesn’t have HDR, atmos, isn’t available in on all platforms, has been broken for months on others) and ignore the important parts of an article. Like, executives brazenly ignoring contracts, looking to cutout profit…
I know you mean well, but you never seem to reply to engage with comments - just to remark on commenters.
Look. I have no idea who you are (other than a vague suspicion your account is linked to/an alter for Moral Dictata), and I have no idea who Dino Ironbody is. I do not particularly care for Joss Whedon. I suspect my political views are more closely aligned with yours than theirs.
