Same here. When he plays a low-key cool character, Craig Robinson is great. But everything about Doug Judy feels to me like the show screeching in my face “YOU LIKE HIM HE’S GREAT HE’S FUNNY CLAP DAMMIT CLAP DAMMIT HE AND PERALTA ARE BEST FRIENDS SO COOL".

That’s exactly how I feel about him! I really like Craig Robinson when he has a low-key cool charisma, but Doug Judy has always had this shrill quality that feels too insistent that I should like him and I don’t. Plus, I never understood why anyone thinks he and Peralta have chemistry and it’s mind-boggling to me that

Oh. K. Um. But which church isn’t infamously anti lgbt?

All props to Marvel and James Gunn, but this article (and more like it) make it sound like they took a giant leap into the unknown by assembling this motley crew of unproven C tier characters into a mainstream movie. There was a danger and a risk, but Marvel knew it had the goods based largely on the success of comic

Knowing the lyrics to “Space Oddity” is a requirement to attend Starfleet Academy.

I have to confess: I’ve always hated Doug Judy and his episodes. I love Craig Robinson, but something about Doug Judy just doesn’t work for me. I don’t really buy into Jake and Judy’s whole thing. It feels one or two steps too cartoonish even for this show.

Who knows why anyone does anything?

Let me preface this by saying I am not a fan or supporter of Mel Gibson. But, according to this article written by a Jewish reporter who spent a lot of time with him over the years, he appears to have made genuine efforts to A). confront his alcoholism and B). reach out to the Jewish community:

James Gunn is already working again. Mel Gibson was on ice for a decade easy. Not quite the same.

Gina is the weakest character on the show, and I am glad she’s gone.

Glad to see some writing about the show on this site. Not because I think it’s good, but because it’s a level of trash that’s worth discussing. Perhaps the show gets better early on, but I watched a couple episodes last week and found it to fall much harder on the sensationalist side than anything else. Though it

How can this be Oscar-nominated when it is painfully average, makes no outstanding effort in writing, plot, visual style or cinematography

How can this be Oscar nominated when there are moments of sub par CGI-

Racism is just one particularly nasty facet of Lovecrafts epic disfunction. The man was literally afraid of everything, except people exactly like himself and maybe catsNoneuclidean geometery, the horror!! Modern architecture! Lucky for him he didn’t live to see brutalism, it would have broken his mind.  He was the

i actually thought that Alex’s take was one of the best ones i’ve seen on that subject, especially because lovecraft gets an inordinate amount of discussion in that sphere. you dont get the same ‘but did you know he was incredibly racist?!?!?!’ taking up half of every review of a new jungle book or john carter movie

Or stop crying about someone who’s been dead for a long time and just enjoy the stories?

Are we really giving Paul Feig credit for all of Freaks and Geeks now?

“ I didn’t think a Ghostbusters re-do was really the absolute best use of Paul Feig’s talents” ..may be the understatement of the millenium..His movies are good , but he has his own style ...It'd be a bit like the next Jack Ryan movie being an Adam Sandler m9vie...
