This is...fine? Slap some contacts and hair dye on her and she’ll make a good enough Triss.

He was great in Man From UNCLE.

You could say that, but it really doesn’t reflect on my experience with Ye stans or the world at large.

Approximately zero people other than Kanye thought his “slavery was a choice” bit was anything but a garbage opinion. He’s no influential thinker; the actual popular perception of political Kanye is that at best

I mean, they’re not wrong are they?

AV Club: How could an incompetent reality TV star with no political experience like Trump win over Clinton?
Also, AV Club: *inexplicably really gives a shit about hot political takes from a musician who’s both confirmed mentally ill and has a history of purposely being controversial to drum up new album publicity*

I

FIRED FOR HARMLESS TWEETS

AND STILL NO COMEBACK?

HOW COME, CHIEF IGER?

You say that, but for every obvious “duh, no shit” study there are countless similar studies that ended up with less than obvious results.

I’m sure the actual paper had more useful and interesting nuances than the dumb tl;dr version.

The Doctor likes to snark and whine about any and all sorts of hot-headed military machismo, but it’s never been quite on this “omg how can you even think of gun” level.

Yeah, while The Doctor personally doesn’t find guns effective as a solution (for killing or otherwise), she doesn’t typically begrudge other people using guns so long as they’re fairly reasonable and level-headed about it.

I get that Ryan was being a twat in Ghost Monument and Not-Trump is a massive bellend this whole

That was also after The Doctor infected him with the virus to make him melt within the next minute.

What’s with the weirdly hypocritical preachy pacifist anti-gun streak this season? Is this just poor writing or some purposely on-the-nose foreshadowing for future episodes? The Doctor may not like guns on principle, but The Doctor kills as a last resort option literally all the time.

Look at it the other way, 50 has every media site talking about him for the low price of $3000.

I think the entire Apu controversy is pretty dumb, but how many characters on The Simpsons does this really apply to? Apu is by far the most prominent.

Thing is though, Apu is already one of the most relatively developed and successful characters on The Simpsons. He doesn’t really want for anything, he’s successful, he’s happily married, he owns his own business, etc. - you mostly get the impression he’s there because he wants to.

That’s a lot of snark directed at a man harmlessly fucking about on twitter.

I will unironically take this over a film in which grumpy hobo Luke Skywalker does nothing for two hours then commits suicide to buy some time for twelve people who at that point were basically condemned to a certain death anyway.

The Orville minus the dick jokes is quite literally just TNG.

I mean this is all...fine, but who’s brilliant idea was it to turn half of this season into a narratively pointless flashback? Assuming the next episode is still Coven Pt. 2, are we about to witness our first AHS double-season, or is Ryan Murphy the madman seriously hoping to wrap it all up in two episodes?

PS: Where

Live-action GITS was pretty good and certainly doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with...basically every other live action adaptation. You could fundamentally do a lot worse than a boring shot-for-shot remake of a critically acclaimed cult-classic.

If it wasn’t for the “whitewashing” “controversy”, the reception around

Fair point, but that’s an “after-the-fact Dave Becky trying to bury things” problem, not a “Louis CK coerced them into it because of the implication” problem.

I’m not in the slightest surprised at the former took place after the deed was done (especially once CK got huge), but suggesting the latter is a pretty large
