It’s debatabe how much of a consecutive continuity South Park is meant to have, but Cartman really hasn’t been following through all that much for the past ten years. He’s been a self-defeating butt of every joke even in the 2-3 “recent” times he succeeded.

I’m guessing it’s just not *that* literal.

I mean I generally assume that is the case, but the show is fairly explicit about the demons being supposedly unhappy with the current state of affairs. And this is supposed to be this hot shit groundbreaking new project, regardless of the management’s feelings, someone would be checking up on it at which point it

Dan Harmon seems to have a habit of making two legendary seasons of a show, receiving rightfully deserved acclaim and cult following over it, then getting really stuck up his own arse come Season 3.

First two seasons of Community were relatively realistic with some quirkiness here and there, then it went full quirk

That’s a very Moffat kind of twist though, which is much different which is my different from Dan Harmon’s brand of 2smart4u storytelling.

My only problem is that assuming 800 reboots over 30 years have passed (going off that ‘2 week’ average comment from further above), there is absolutely no way none of the other 300-odd disgruntled demons wouldn’t have snitched eventually. 800 is a very eyebrow-raising number and this series has been pretty consistent

Because one’s the attractive quirky protagonist while the other is an ugly nerd loser.

Lindsay Apologists are the new Francesca Apologists, who in turn were the new Mickey Apologists.

Yeah, but it’s still a quick shorthand to make a particular point. Even accounting for the fact Anthony likely dials it down a lot to keep a wide audience, dude is obviously lefty as hell.

I mean everyone besides Holt and Terry (maybe throw in Rosa) is kind of a wacky idiot, but that’s just the SNL-esque humor this show does. B99 is pretty “dumb” compared to the likes of Arrested Development, Parks, 30 Rock, New Girl, etc.

You’re right it doesn’t make that much sense from the viewer’s perspective, but a
