Huh? Absolutely not, there are ton of things that are sexiest in the world. There are men still trying to make women feel like they are inferior beings. Calling a spade a spade is the correct thing to do in those cases. Claiming sexism simply because you are dealing with males, who make up 80 or 90% of your player

How was Deroir’s comment a confrontation? This is his original reply to her thread:

She posted the initial thread about the difficulties of her job on a public site with a public Twitter account and he offered a very minor and valid critique, then she blew up about it including talking about how she is in “her space” and on “her time”. If you aren’t willing to see criticism of your opinions, don’t

Check the time I posted versus the time that the article got updated to reflect the CEO’s statement.

Conversely, I wonder how many of the people saying she shouldn’t have been fired were cheering on the dozens of social media firings we’ve had in the last 12 months alone. I’m gonna take a stab in the dark and say it’s a lot higher than your number.

This is why Jessica and Peter were fired. Essentially because instead of taking criticism Peter becomes a catalyst for making it about sexism and Jessica runs with it and tells someone to get the fuck out of her twitter after she opened up about being a narrative writer for Anet. Her second to last post is just

Still spinning the narrative that Price was defending herself from “a YouTuber, for explaining the concept of dialogue choices to her” as if that happened.

I was listening to Giant Bomb the other day and they did the same thing when covering it. They seemed to refuse to mention half of what she said in order to mask just how overboard she reacted. GamerGate and all that nonsense is toxic, but no point in making this person a martyr.

The CEO of Arenanet said that they made the decision to do something the same day of her tweets. Which was before the movement to get her fired really got traction as far as I’m aware.

Um have you ever worked in a work environment that requires customer interaction? What she did is easily a just cause for being fired.

Exactly. She took it somewhere it didnt need to go, and started blaming all manner of social justice issues for her own foolish comments. If I insult a customer at my job, Id expect to be fired. Period. Id definitely not call the fans bots, arsehats, or later imply sexism as a result. Thats nonsensical. Doesnt matter

did you guys not even bother to read the initial tweet that he posted in response to her 29(!) long tweet string about her job? he said literally zero about anything at all having to do with her sex, he was merely disagreeing with her on her choices. it was HER that became hostile and made it all about being a female
