Supertoad is a fantastic description of this car.

200k, conservatively. These things are total monsters, so probably more like 400-500k.

You just saved me a bunch of typing.

That was entertaining!

I just spent the last hour or so watching these!

Absolutely entertaining!

That was actually really entertaining! Makes me want to get my MR2 out to one of these races. Sadly, I don't think my 130 ponies can keep up with these guys.

Logical. And worrisome.

I've always wondered why nobody ever brought the Duesenberg marque back. I feel even non-car people have heard of Duesenberg over Maybach.

'Squared-off' wheel? No one did it better than Chrysler. 1960 Imperial pictured here. Bonus points for looking like a wild-eyed duck.

I have an E30 vert and people ask me why my top is always down. I tell them if I wanted it up all the time, I might as well have bought a coupe.

OMG! I couldn't agree more! I have a Boxster, the top is only up when it's raining, and since I live in NorCal, that's not very often. It's strangely offensive to me too; people who live here buy convertibles due to the near perfect climate… then they never put their tops down. WTF??

I know someone that has a bone stock one with original wheels and everything. Radio is the only thing aftermarket about it.

There are stock ones out there, check the Marauder forums, but they're verrrry spendy. A clean one is 10 grand very easily.

The "convertible" aspect is why I will never buy a hard top for my Jeep. A hard top means no spontaneity (in terms of top up or down today). I even have a tool box in the back that can hold the side and rear windows in case of the sudden decision to go topless.

This times one million! It drives me nuts! Especially when you're driving a convertible model that is available as a coupe/sedan. My wife and I must give these people the weirdest look as we drive by with our windows down & sunroof open.

Was there a year on this?

This is so true. F*** oiled filters.

This is an awful idea. Studies have shown that K&N filters filter far worse than factory ones. Plus, oiled filters tend to fuck up MAFs. The only real good way to improve upon your cold air intake is to get better flowing pipes and delete any noise baffles if there are any, and get a goods stock WIX filter.

Wasn't there just a topic here on Jalopnik yesterday about which car company treats enthusiasts the worst? Pretty sure BMW won by a landslide.

Even if you bought the car with a pre-owned inspection.
Just replaced my air filter after buying it off the dealer lot 10,000km ago. (Bought it with 90,000km on it).
Better power, MUCH better fuel economy.
