Back in my college days I spent quite a bit time online chatting with my school acquaintances, not a dummy, but still rather oblivious to the creepiness of the big old internet. Late one night when I was alone in my shared apartment, I was chatting with a fellow student who was in my art department—said he was going

The history of those two states couldn’t be farther apart. I’m picking up what you’re putting down...but you sound ignorant AF.

ha! Came here to say:

Kinja Deals is squarely in the fundraising department and I can’t remember the last time I saw journalism content from Shep. They even added a disclaimer up top.

And until the last year or so, the NFL didn’t even pay taxes. I’m OK with her calling it out.

If you’re ever a stone’s throw from the capitol building in Madison, WI this store has protest pins galore: https://www.facebook.com/Anthology218/ (Pretty sure they don’t take online orders, but it can’t hurt to ask.)

I use one of these at work and the only really incentive for using a base is preventing the ball from running off when you stand up. That said, I’ve landed on my ass a couple times when the wheels aren’t locked and I’m thinking the seat is somewhere it’s not. Awkward fun office times.

This guy.

Good god, Ammon Bundy was this year? I thought we were light-years away from that moment. 2016 really has been the absolute worst.

Fine ground almonds (like powdered suger fine ground) and a bit of water, maybe? I know nothing beats cream, but you do what you gotta do.

ha! TGIF...

I was so excited until I came across cream as an ingredient, which turns my insides out. Are there any suitable substitutions??

Jameson will always remind me of Milwaukee.

Ooh, that’s another I’ve been meaning to add to my list. I’m intrigued HBO is making something of it.

I started the audiobook and just couldn’t get hooked either. A lot of stuff that’s wildly popular misses the mark for me. shrug

Earlier this year I was struggling with some heavy depression. I came across the audiobook for Ruth Ozeki’s “A Tale for the Time Being” and felt so...understood. Beautiful and compassionate—one of the best stories I came across this year that will stay with me for a very long time. Do recommend.

DING DING DING. Anyone with half a brain doesn’t fuck around when they’re in a bucket anywhere near powerlines. Those handful of cones certainly wouldn’t stop a car from slamming into them—in those conditions, I would have put a sign at the top of that hill for my own safety as a worker.

It’s been in my holiday mix the last couple years.

Nah—color’s fine—it’s just the top that’s whack.

I’d just flip it on when I’m hanging out with her.
