Lol. I hadn’t realized
At one point last night, toward the end, he said something about her in such a vile tone, I turned to my husband and said that he’s gonna get her killed. This man’s rhetoric paired with the scary fundamentalists he leads is downright dangerous. I hope to God the secret service is up to the task. I feel sick.
OH ffs
A homeless man recently called after me, followed me, and then *touched me on the shoulder,* the other day when I was walking with my headphones. He also seemed to come out of nowhere—which freaked me out because I’m super vigilant about my visual surroundings when I’m walking with headphones.
This made me angry and anxious the first time I saw this, and it’s just as visceral now, a couple days later. I’m not left handed, but if I had been in her spot, my left hand would have balled up and jammed itself into that asshole’s mouth so fucking fast. What I would give to see a woman fight back this waste of…
Gotta link?
People are weird, aggressive jerks while commuting—while bicycling, I’ve run into more than a few psychotic drivers than I care to dwell on.
Riding on the sidewalks is *legal* in Madison, WI, so long as buildings’ exits don’t directly dump out onto the sidewalk. But I still don’t recommend it, because we have a ton of one-ways downtown, and drivers are rarely scanning the sidewalk for bicyclists like they should be.
The tag is perfect.
Ha—I have two cats, and I talk to them like they’re dogs. I think it helps more with my sanity than their dis/obedience. The tabby listens for the most part—he’s typical cat. Doesn’t give a shit, kinda just rolls with the punches and is happy to sit down when you tell him to. He prances off if you admonish him for…
oh i got chills
OMG I will never have my back to a doorway ever again OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMFG.
Never watched this show, but Ayoade hosts I’ll be sure to tune in. I love both him and his character in IT Crowd. <3
I’m trying to hold my tongue from lashing out at my BIL... I didn’t hold him in the highest regard before this election, but I hadn’t pegged him as a sexist nor doubted his ability to reason until he started spouting Gary Johnson nonsense about third party voting and cracking dick jokes the day Hillary Clinton won…
I feel the same about social media, but frankly, if I left I’d have no social life period. Social life in my town is dominated by drunk college kids, so I don’t go out much.
My theory too—the descriptions really seem to point to her being on the spectrum.
I wonder what they mean by “masculine” way. The fact that she didn’t know how to navigate social situations also makes me wonder if she was on the spectrum.
There’s compassion in understanding. I appreciate your comment and thought you should know.
That was exactly my experience working in TV news. I left because I couldn’t handle it, especially in hand with my issues with depression.
Yes, this totally resonated with me. Which is why I also take a tiny bit of issue with this:
