The kinds of people interested/motivated/skilled/physically capable enough to succeed as officers and fighter pilots are already a large percent of applicants to military aviation programs. The process is pretty selective and it’s only a small percentage of successful applicants, which is a small percentage if total

Fighter pilot here. Not anymore. They’re capable of working at zero airspeed, zero altitude. They’re a little big for an F-1 car though. You would add at least 50% to the height and a ton of weight and structure and other features to make it possible.

Our sentencing is outrageously long. I get how damaging it must have been and how dangerous it was. There’s just no way they need more than a year behind bars plus probation to get the message across. So many people forget that 20 years ruins a life and wastes government resources.

Meh. Some classified data points seem so insignificant until you’re the end-user of that data. No joke, there are individual bits of knowledge that, if an opponent knows the context, can be used to defeat tactics and win a fight. The cost of a jet is definitely one of those.

You got by without them because those services weren’t societal standards back then.
