Better yet, download it all and save it as PDFs! :-P

Exactly! PDFs can be taken with you forever!
ugh I am probably going to have eye problems later in life, given how much of my time I spend reading screens.
Ahhh yeah. I mean, there are definitely pros and cons to every way of consuming a book- youre right that libraries have their own flaws. I live in NYC so I didn’t even think about what a less well supplied library system might be like.
It’s definitely a transition! I’m on the younger side, and I grew up with computers. So for me, there’s no palpable difference. But a lot of people from previous generations have a visceral dislike of reading from screens, so I get it.
YOU ARE THE SCOURGE OF TREES! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR A GENOCIDE!!!
LMAO what an obnoxious comment! Why are you so sensitive about my opinion on the pros/cons of physical books? You can do whatever you want, it’s your back that’ll get pulled if you ever move and have to transport your library. I am just saying, there are indeed many upsides to having digital books. There are negatives…
On the one hand, this is extremely ridiculous. On the other hand, hey I respect the hustle. Anything can be a job if people are willing to pay you for it! As for the question of how exactly this helps a company’s bottom line...... Huh!?!? But I guess that’s for the companies to worry about! Still, its better than…
Yeah I get that, it definitely does add an additional layer to the experience of reading. But having all those books IS ungainly... And wasteful!
Reading is good. But physically owning the books? Ehh. Kindles are good, libraries are good too. PDFs are also a thing that exist if you want to support the author (a noble endeavor!), and a thumb drive is way lighter than a stack of books.
Hengdai, Wu.
Michael Shannon is so good! Have you seen him read a sorority president’s letter?
So my original point was that I know it’s easy to give up Louis CK and R Kelly, and I have. Like I said, I’m being facetious about the whole karaoke thing. Some of the other things are much more difficult to cut out.
IGNORE THIS COMMENT!
The person who is pursuing should pay. 99.999% of the time I am asking a woman out, so I am paying. If she were to ask me out though, I think it is reasonable for her to pay.
I am always on a 90s/early 2000s kick. Speaking of, don’t know where you live but if you ever are in NYC (or if you live here!), there’s this place Le Poisson Rouge that has a 90s/early 2000s cover band concert on Friday nights and IT IS FUCKING AMAZING. SO MUCH FUN
The no extended instrumentals is key, and is mainly why American Girl is off the table IMO
The problem is I DON’T feel guilty, I enjoy it too much. I know I SHOULD feel guilty, and that my inability (or refusal, depending on your POV) to do so is objectively a mark against my character (just how big a flaw is up to the individual to decide). So I feel guilty about not feeling guilty, if that makes sense.
Huh, you know what I didn’t even think about the costs entailed in the adoption process. Totally did not consider that!
I admire your resolve. Both of you!
