WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE ASSHOLES

That’s definitely a part of it, sure. I could make more sacrifices in my life than I do. And yes, not singing a pedophile’s songs at karaoke is literally doing the bare minimum.

See Jimmy Page is a huge blind spot for me. I FUCKING LOVE Zeppelin, but all of them were AWFUL. Like, holy shit! The parties and the stories and the literal orgies with underage girls. And that is me purposefully saying ‘girls’ instead of ‘women’ because THEY WERE LITERALLY GIRLS. But no one talks about it at all.

I will say I think genuine penance (GENUINE penance) goes a long way. I am an objectively better person than I was 7-10 years ago, when I would make gay jokes with my friends and I was too immature for the very intense relationship I was in and treated my girlfriend poorly. Now as to who is genuinely penitent, is up

LOL I’m not so good with commitment.

Too many good beers out there!! If I stick with one brewery, who knows what the hell I’m missing out on.

Ha!

Oh man, GREAT song

Maybe i just have heard hit me baby done too many times, but generally i have better success getting the crowd into it with lucky and oops i did it again.

You only say that because youve never heard me duet with my friend alix. She can hit those Freddie Mercury notes amazingly.

Best Tom Petty karaoke song is Runnin’ Down A Dream. Not even because it’s his best song (IMO that would be American Girl), but because no one thinks about singing it, so it isn’t overdone like Free Falling & Won’t Back Down. The key to doing a good karaoke song is doing a band’s SECOND most famous song (so Under

HAHAHAHAHAHA

No adoption? If that’s too personal a question, no worries, but I assume that you’ve considered that? I’m very curious about the decision making people have when it comes to kids & all the potential ways that can happen.

Oh, you and I just said literally the exact same thing haha

The question is, what if someone WANTS to be a surrogate? I am not a woman so I literally cannot fathom any of this on anything more than a purely theoretical level, and please feel free to tell me that I have NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, if I am completely off-base. This is a very interesting topic, and I

God I love that show

Thanks for the nuanced take! Very wonderful contribution.

Anyways, I’m mostly joking about R. Kelly. I am an expert karaoker with a very finely tuned karaoke setlist that I can tailor to any audience in order to get maximum crowd pleasing. But my actual serious point is that, in the R. Kelly or Louis CK situation it’s very easy to step away from something that is unethical.

Which is basically my point! We are all complicit. It is literally impossible to be an ethical consumer. Somewhere, in EVERY supply chain imaginable, you are directly giving money to someone involved in slave labor or something incredibly horrible, whether you are aware of it or not. Sometimes, it is easier to give up

ooooh Boyz II Men. Not bad!
