Yeah. Like I said elsewhere, the original pitch of the show was, “this is how a standup comedian gets his material, just by observing all the crazy hijinks that his weirdass friends get into”, hence the name ‘observational comedy’. So it definitely makes sense from a story telling perspective.

Excellent point. I have to say, as a Jewish American, I really don’t know what to make of Sarsour. She is in no way like Farrakhan. I understand why she is so strongly pro BDS, but I truly believe she is not an antisemitic person at heart.

Which is why the earlier seasons had his standup routines interspersed throughout the episodes, and he often made comments about that (when Kramer takes George to the “Holistic Healer”, Jerry’s all “I think you’re nuts.…

There’s (obviously) no way that the show made as much money as it did from just New York but I think the aging of the show might be slightly different for people not from New York.

So The Good Place and Always Sunny are nonstarters for you too then?

They’re not wrong about that- Seinfeld himself was pretty much always the weakest member of the cast.
