I recently came across a short documentary on medieval marriage and was so thrown at the lack of formality required for most of the population. All you needed was mutual consent - no witnesses needed, even! Of course this had its downside if a dissolution of marriage was sought, but the whole process was rather

I have to give kudos to my parents for getting the swapping duties thing down at a time when roles were far more traditional. My mom put my dad through school. My dad was a full time student and looked after my brother (and eventually me) while handling the household chores.

I feel like I’d seen several previews in a couple weeks time and then zip, no more promotion. I assumed it hadn’t come out yet. Thusly, I need to get my butt to the theater!

Nope just your standard white lady. Though this was in Arizona (not Sedona) and lots of people seem to be into that sort of thing, at least in the mid nineties.

It was a biz owned by a single woman, no metaphysics involved. Totally threw me off when she asked for my birth time, which I only happen to know because it was just after midnight. I thought she was joking until she told me she needed me to call my mom to confirm the time.

I definitely dodged a bullet! I will always wonder what that chart said about me. I’ve had a couple people offer to do my chart since, and always declined. I can screw up my life just fine without any self fulfilling prophecies to guide me.

I lost out on a job because of my “star chart”. Had everything lined up, prepped to give my notice a the awful job I was desperate to leave, and the final step in securing my new job was giving my time of birth so they could run my star chart.

I binged the hell out of that too. Her category is chock full of amazing actors, I'm really torn. I loved The Americans, it never got the kudos it deserved. Homecoming is so so good, another one I binged in a weekend.

See that’s where our Cheesecake Factory level violence comes in... my nephews are old enough and big enough to get elbowed out of the way sans guilt ;)

I’ve never been to one, either. Partly because the nearest one is located in a particular area of suburban hell with terrible traffic and even worse drivers.

Seriously, living on $17/hr in DC must mean the bare minimum of having a pulse.

That $17 an hour is a scraping by wage at best - I live in Richmond which is vastly cheaper than D.C. (though getting pricier each year). I make well over $17/hour with hardly any debt, no car payment, cheap rent, and I still watch my bank acct like a hawk. In D.C. the rent on a comparable apt. alone would flatten me.

That surprises me too, I actually think he looks better than he did back in his Cheers days. He’s so damn delightful on The Good Place!

My mom likes to taunt me with her microwaved water. I can’t stand it, there’s no temperature control! Though she uses a teapot and I use bags, thus we ultimately cancel out each others’ tea faux pas.

I wondered if the Romaine problem had led to a shortage of other greens. I'm generally a baby spinach girl and the supply has been abysmal. I'm in Virginia, so maybe the issue is regional? I need romaine to stop harshing my spinach vibe!

Same here. Photography is one of my hobbies, so I feel comfortable shooting myself and try to help other people feel relaxed during shoots because I know their pain. Unfortunately my main passion is playing in a band, and I have to do promo shoots. I have 3 photographers I trust not to make me look like a ghoul.

I found it boring. If you're looking to learn anything about the history, you can save 2 hours by visiting Wikipedia. I'm surprised the "penis scene" became news, really.

It’s rather boring. I expected a series, versus a movie and was sort of thrown by how shallow it was. It’s an interesting point in history that could have benefited from more time/context rather than just battle scenes (which also manage to be boring). I mentioned in a previous comment that it's like a book report

Hot toddy? Good for the throat, easy to make! Hope you feel better.
