This makes me much more confident in naming my first born Augmented Fourth.

Ah! That statement is almost straight out of East of Eden (book, not the film). There’s a whole thread in the book about various Judeo Christian texts and god’s instruction to humankind as it relates to following his word. Dependant on the book/translation, god’s word can interpreted as command, instruction, or…
I was pondering the degree of Maeve/Dolores sentience recently. I think Maeve is there but she hasn’t had the trial and error experiences that humans use to make choices based on unexpected outcomes. But she is the only one of the two who is now a total separate identity from her previous loops (that we’ve seen).
It’s interesting to consider if there’s any ability for them to infect guests/eventual humans outside of the park. Now that they’re capable of harming humans, does that extend to something more subtle like disease versus brute force?
I found myself tearing up at some point during each episode of Season 1. Sagan would be proud.
When Maeve wakes up on the repair table in Season 1, the two techs she’s now toting around are discussing the fact that she’s got MRSA, so I’m guessing all manner of disease is on the table. Whether they suffer from them or are simply carriers isn’t really clear.
Agreed. I mean, he was in love with one woman his whole life and now they’re together. Whereas he and Diana wete both miserable in that marriage and acted accordingly.

There’s a great podcast that’s really good at breaking down each episode. It’s on The Ringer website, called “The Recappables”:
“but there’s other things—table settings and how to eat with a fork and a knife...”
In a technical sense, perhaps. But when I hear “pants” I think work attire - I can’t wear jeans to work, no matter how nice they are. And since jeans have taken on so many variations, they’re a whole separate category of leg wear, IMO. But to each their own.
My dislike of pants has lead me to alter the spelling to: “pance”. I only bother wearing them to work, and only when it’s too dam cold for a long skirt.
I’m starting to wonder if Kanye is sort of stuck in the need to stand his ground, versus walking back his support for Trump for fear of seeming weak minded and uninformed. He seems very preoccupied with protecting his “thoughts.”
Dear god, part of me fears that such things are becoming so commonplace that they only warrant a news crawl. That most recent school shooting, had it not happened during the planned walkout, would it have been a major story? Even then, it felt under reported.
I was just thinking about this distinction the other day. Looking back at my youth (I’m 44, so pre ubiquitous internet) I was teased for being quiet while daring to be involved in the performing arts. It was irritating but manageable. And since those days, I’ve run into most of my classmates - even the teasers- and…
Mine is being bipedal.
Fingers crossed that becomes the trend!
And it ends up as the top comment. Sigh...
I actually flagged the initial comment. Frustrating to see people get dragged into promoting such an ignorant stance.
Yeah, I’m baffled at the “oh checking quotes isn’t really protocol” - uh - I’ve read plenty of nonfiction, intended for popular consumption (versus intended for the academic community) and they’ve all had extensive citations regarding source material and quoted authors/interviews.
