Yeah I thought that was an odd distortion of the events. It’s not like there’s a lack of source material which would merit artistic license. It makes for a more sympathetic story for Margaret, but it undermines the story, especially Elizabeth’s take that Margaret only cared about her total perks.

Maybe it’s the perspective of the photos, or the contrast between the paneling, but those ceilings are giving me serious claustrophobia.

This just makes me admire her even more. She’s inspirational beyond her abilities as an athlete.

That’s why Nosedive remains one of my favorite episodes. It’s really close to how we engage with social media - from the “influencers” on Instagram to the psychological impact Facebook has had on people. And they managed to make it funny!

It was definitely a nice change of pace. Still relevant with the tech and the way dating apps have become more manipulative but without the doomed ending or being saccharine in its delivery.

I have friends whose daughters are involved in competitive cheerleading and the oversexualization is horrifying. They post the pics on Facebook because they’re so proud of their athleticism and flexibility, which they obviously possess - but when they’re 12 and made up to like they’re 20, it’s not about sport.
