Great album that sounds a lot rawer and more spontaneous than people remember. As straightforward as most of the album is, there's also noisier stuff like "Weenie Beenie" and "X-Static," which sound a lot ballsier than anything on In Your Honor or whatever.

I still tend to think—as I did in middle school—that The Fragile is bloated, overdramatic, and lyrically embarrassing compared to Downward Spiral. But it does have some of the most interesting (and meticulous) production work of Reznor’s career. “I’m Looking Forward To Joining You, Finally” is sweet with headphones.
