Yep. The phrase “well-intentioned”, especially when followed by “but”, is by definition a negative statement no matter how you slice it. It’s an acceptable statement if you’re *trying* to critique something, but it’s definitely expressing a negative opinion.

I thought that peeing in the shower was one of those things everyone secretly did, like picking your nose. I’m fascinated that there are people who actively avoid it. So now I have an honest question: if you need to pee while showering, do you actually towel off and get out of the shower to use the toilet and then

It’s amazing how little good judgement some people have. I’m sure your employee didn’t even stop to think whether it might be a good idea to wear that particular charming getup to work.

I think you have a typo here: “the coiffure and suit of Caesar Flickman from the Hunger Games”. Isn’t it Flickerman?

Hey white boys: It’s time to act like a woman.

That’s my fear, that people will show up to support her. (No idea WHO would support her, but it’s the internets....I’m sure that someone will crawl out of some hole somewhere to give her moral support in her “time of need”.) She should be banned from all digital media devices.

A fellow HAV fan!! I’m so glad you posted this one.

I was so sad to miss the show on the Facades series! And now with his death, the [out-of-print] Facades book is of course selling for $125+ a copy on Amazon. Booo. Do you know if there’s anywhere online to view more of the Facades collection than the very few posted on the Society’s website?

Little Shop of Horrors!

WTeverlastingF PETA. I had no idea. Thank you for sharing. This is so unbelievably fucked up.

Although (in only semi-related news), I had corn & mayonnaise sushi at a conveyer-belt sushi restaurant the last time I was in Japan, and it was unabashedly fantastic. It was exactly what it sounds like...sushi rice wrapped in seaweed and topped with cooked corn kernels and Kewpie mayonnaise.

Indeed, I just love the use of the word “young” in this sentence.

That’s a fascinating way of approaching it, and one I hadn’t heard before. Would the reverse work as well - levels of estrogen? Like anything, I’m sure there are tons of pitfalls and potential issues with this solution, but it makes more sense than many others I’ve heard batted around.

I love this story, and I love that saying from your mom. I’ve never heard that before but it is so, so true. Thank you for sharing - it sums up Richard perfectly. <3

I remember hearing about a father whose child had been murdered by another man in cold blood. Really chilling murder. The father shot and killed the murderer in the courthouse at some point during the trial. He (the father) went to trial as well (separately, of course) and was acquitted by the jury. Have to say I

Also proof that Terry Pratchett is Tutankhamun reincarnated:

Agreed 100000%. Such a huge suspender fan. So sexy!

Everything you said x10000000eleventymillion. I can hear exactly all of those test audience complaints in my head too.

How many other people “steered” along with this every time?? I know we did. “It’s starting! Hands up in steering position, and....left! Right! Lean into the curve!” What a great memory to watch this again.

which is really how society fells
