Britney looks like she's got hooves in that last picture.

THANK YOU for taking this outside the previous century. I had just the same thought. It's not like fashion was invented by our 1901 ancestors!

See, I think that the 70s were so bad that they became awesome out of sheer force of will. Even if everything was hideous, there was so much effort and design in everything that it bowled over some of the more boring decades. Those pants may be awful, but that crease could cut a bitch (and probably would, given its

HOLY SHIT that looks exactly like my best friend from middle school. He had smaller hair, but the face and glasses and expression and pose....OMG. Thank you for giving me a sweet flashback to how much fun we had reading D&D manuals in my parents' attic. ^_^

I made the exact comment about one of the other outfits. I cannot fathom the lack of thought on what dress to wear WITH the hat.

Next month at the MOMA: Georgia O'Keefe in Three-Dimensional Homage.

This dress is such a terrible choice with this hat, IMHO. I truly don't understand how you can put this much thought into the hat and then not give a single fuck whether it goes with the dress in any way. From the neck down she looks like she just got finished with tennis doubles practice. Fine on its own, I

I love this hat so much. It's amazing. And yes, ridiculously funny is the pitch-perfect description for it.

That's really interesting - thank you for sharing your own experience. I always find it fascinating to hear first-hand perspectives in conjunction with general research. It puts a human face on the data.

I just have to thank you x1000 for posting the link to that Kate Beaton comic strip.

I have always preferred an overcast day (even drizzle) to a bright sunny day. Sure, I like the sun sometimes as well, but the way I explain it is that I feel alive when it's a bit cloudy, since the earth seems to feel more alive as well (wind is more active, rain is moving, etc). I feel tired when it's sunny and hot,

YES mosquito bites on me swell up like crazy. They look like big red welts and they itch like the dickens!!!

I agree completely. I have a few of those mechanics' onesies (same general cut & style), and they are the greatest thing ever when you don't want to have to think about what to wear. One and done!

Wait, you aren't even allowed into that area??? What am I missing here?? This feels incredibly capricious. I don't even....<totally confused>.

I also hear this often pronounced as "cal-val-ry" (keeping the original L and just adding another L because why not extra Ls.) >_>

This one drives me craaaaazy. Especially ex-presso. Just...NO.

Never thought about that but it makes perfect sense now that you explain it. Thanks for the tip!

Hurrah!! And if those are your first-time-purchases of skirts, you've got great taste and a long successful skirt-purchasing career ahead of you. ^_^

Agreed. I try to do my little part to help out my server/checker/attendant/fill-in-the-blank when I can....because having been there, I was always so grateful for those customers who helped in those small unsung ways. A little bit of awareness and kindness can go a long way!

I love that you would play satanic death metal to make them feel more validated. That is just so funny & awesome all at once.
