I’ve wondered if it is the people that didn’t vote that are making this argument. That these people are, consciously or not, are trying to make the case that their inaction is actually the more noble course in this scenario.

It’s both sad and hilarious.... These people are twisting themselves into knots to avoid being happy about a huge Democratic win. Is this a youth disease or something? I don't get it.

I think the people talking about how proud they are to be standing in line are making a well intentioned effort to convince others that it’s worthwhile. They aren’t happy that people have to wait in these huge lines, but are putting the best spin on it that they can.
