This is the little known story of the Royal Navy’s secret X-Class midget submarines that were built to sink the most…
Jaguar XJ-220
I clipped that advert out of a magazine and it hung on my wall for years.
The Sauber-Mercedes C9’s lap at the Le Mans historic race in 2010 was faster than any P1 car could run that weekend.
Who’s happy with only two seats?
Walter Röhrl - Still testing and driving Porsche’s like its 1985.
0-60: 3.7
Reading “Car and Driver” lately, Patrick?
0-60 in low 4’s. 1/4 in the 13’s. That is still faster that just about everything but super cars. 1989 T/A GTA with 3.8 Turbo.
Group B cars (I know the Corvette and the Delta aren’t rally cars, but they both still answer the question) were ridiculously, ludicrously fast. Stig Blomqvist did a 0-60 run in the RS200 (not even the fastest one out there) in under 3 seconds short shifting to avoid destroying the gearbox. In 1985.
It’s still faster than walking:
or McLaren F1
C5 Z06. ~4 seconds to 60, sub-8 at the Nurburgring, over 1g on the skid pad. If that feels slow there are rumors that people can make them even faster...
I dunno about stupid fast. But still quick by todays standards.
Still the Fastest Naturally Aspirated car in the world actually!
The obvious
10/10 would have threesome in McLaren F1.
Ferrari F40- faster than the 959 in its own day. The last project overseen by Enzo Ferrari before his death. I love these machines to death.
