I thought the contrast of the hundreds of faces illuminated by the lighting of the building in contrast with Agnes and Ada left in the dark was an inspired directorial flourish as it magnified their philosophical differences to anything new, literally in black and white. Even Bertha says “We go where the future takes

No it was going to be a floor pricing by the studios and the exhibitors could add what they determined pricing for that specific theatre.  It’s called a house allowance.  Obviously theaters in A markets are allowed larger house allowances than say Bumfuck, Oklahoma.

When I was in exhibition way back in the Cineplex Odeon/Lowes Theater days the idea of “tiered pricing” was batted around. That event pictures would be priced more than non-event pictures. Who or what defines event?

Michael, not a bad first stab at reviewing SNL. Clearly you had shoes to fill, neither big or small, just left in the hall with laces untied

Big “Hello Dolly” vibe with her at the top of the steps in that red dress.

No mention of the Sopranos/Chevrolet ad? That was brilliant.

Too many superheroes
Please eliminate one.
Not a crackpot.

Aha! The “Epic Conclusion of the Jurassic Era

Eeeeek!

Hahahahhahahaha!

What an utterly fatuous and puerile statement. That you felt you were sharing great insight into the techniques and skills of one of the greatest actors of the last 30 years with such a base  generality is embarrassing coming from you. You are better than this, it’s right there in your name CineCRAFT

And you come off like an insufferable Gen X’er . Then again I didn’t read your comment.

And Resurrections implies that the only reason Lana came back for a fourth movie was that Warner Bros. would have done it with or without her participation.”

That Global Warming Christmas skit was agony. On the other hand Tom Hanks bracketing it within the current framework of the pandemic brought an odd nostalgia irrespective how frequently off it was.

A little early with this post given the egregious exclusion of Jeremy Strong delivering what had to be one of the most shattering performances in the Season 3 finale of SUCCESSION elevated an already great series to something quite extraordinary. The level of defeat and misery, the agony of his world crashing down

The trailer is nothing but a trove of stunning images telling us very little.

Once again, the impossible beauty that the uber-wealthy enjoy, in this case the sumptuous playground of the European elite (was this Lake Como?) is the backdrop of so much venom: a conceit utilized before on episodes of SUCCESSION but reached a high point tonight.

TIME TO FIRE UP THE DISSOLVE!

I just want to tip my hat to HBO dollars spent very well. First using Hudson Yards and The Shed for part of the party set as well as other locations to pull off a singularly wretched display of excess wealth in the guise of a party. That it turned out to be one of the circles of Hell Dante could only dream about for
