Except it received universal acclaim and was considered a return to form for the characters. And it was funny.

On the one hand, I'm excited for Alia Shawkat. On the other hand, this better not be messing up with the potential Arrested Development Season 5 Netflix keeps bringing up.

Two episodes from now, Episode 7, is supposed to go into the Trotter Lake business. Bonnie winds up finding out whatever it is.

This sounds like it has a lot of potential… that will be totally squandered in the first 5.2 seconds of the premiere by Ryan Murphy. Most likely, Paltrow will play a racist, homophobic b!itch character who says terrible things, but it's okay because it's supposed to be funny and get GIFs all over Tumblr.

This kind of a post is why I love the AVClub.
But yeah, this just screams bad idea. Maybe if they decided to remake the movie as the first season, it would have potential. But as a sequel, without Julia Roberts, nah…
