We’ve been supporting him with tax dollars for years.

They haven’t updated cars, other EVs are better and the stench of Elon sticks to them. I wonder if they will have a MAGA boost in 25

Yeah but you know, sometimes you just want a new car.

The Equinox EV is great. It’s not trying to be a sports car, it’s roomy, has good range and is affordable as far as EV goes.

I hope I don’t either. But I’m not sure. Much like Nickelback albums, someone is buying them.  Statistically, some of them are people I know.

I know of no rational human being that could financially support that POS by buying a Tesla.

20 to 30% growth? This dude just makes shit up constantly.

It isn’t a metaphor for the future. It isn’t even our actual future. It is our present.

If this story isn’t a metaphor for our future, I don’t know what is...

Speaking as a multimodal commuter, bluntly, driving in the winter has never been worth it. What you gain in warmth you lose in anxiety with assclowns discovering black ice doesn’t care you’re driving an SUV or a BMW driver discovering the terrors of hydroplaning. Fleece pants, heated jacket, you're way better off.

Part of the problem is that it runs trains at high speeds through notoriously flat Florida where they cross 178 rail street-level crossings over 66.5 miles.

Florida has basically turned itself into one big dawrin award competition. Building “high speed” rail with three hundred plus grade level crossings is just part of the game.

Unfortunately for all of us, outside of a few select neighborhoods in a couple of cities, there’s only so much you can do to get around without a car in the U.S.”

What we need is more emphasis on pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and fixing the zoning codes so that more markets, restaurants and other businesses can be build closer to residential areas, even within them. Like, every cookie cutter residential development should be required to have at least a small grocery

Why do you hate freedumb?

Genuinely great piece, Erin.

Reagan promised wealth, abundance and a revitalization of the American dream (for some, anyway).

Agreed. Toyota makes some odd decisions every now and then. I see the Prius V and C everywhere, they definitely sold enough to warrant another generation.

That is a great choice and my seat of the pants guestimate puts it at a similar size to the old 5.
