It DOES actually solve the problem of congestion. And it is NOT a regressive tax. The poorest of the poor don’t have cars and aren’t driving into Manhattan. They are taking public transit.

That’s always the NIMBY response. Build it over there first. Knowing damn well that won’t happen.

I love seeing the ads for Middlesex, NJ on television here in Middlesex (county) MA.  They’re trying so hard to entice our companies to move there.  It’s pathetic.

Being stuck in their shitty Sentra for 2 hours is worse than 1 hour. So they too benefit greatly from reduced congestion if they CHOOSE to drive.

If Phil Murphy is so concerned about poor folks getting into Manhattan, then he should ask Trump to force the removal of fares for PATH and NJ Transit trains/buses into NYC too.

The market has buyers and sellers. So if there’s room to cut and mfcs are sitting on a shitload of cars, they will lower their prices accordingly. In some regards, the market works.

I have to take care of myself mentally before. We did this for 4 years. I can’t another 4. So I’ve checked out.

Well, speedier traffic = speedier buses. Either way, it works and the primary benefit is speedier traffic, fewer jams. Everyone on the road benefits first.
