PHEV was fine 10 years ago. But honestly, to achieve the EV benefits of a PHEV you need to have a convenient plug and have to plug the damn thing in ALL THE TIME. And if you don’t, you burn gas.

California will be the first state to reach 50%. And it’s much larger and more diverse (in all ways: racially, geographically, economically) than Norway.

Sometimes ‘breaking even’ isn’t the rationale. I could eat rice and beans for dinner or go out for a nice dinner.  They both accomplish the same task, but one is a nicer experience.

A PHEV? Nah, it’s too full of compromise when you want an EV.  At least with the EV, they’ll save in maintenance and get the benefits of a dedicated EV platform (more space).

The Air is huge. It's like 7" wider and 5" longer than the Accord in question.  It is a LOT of EV though.  

The guy wants something with as much space as the Accord, the Polestar 2 is NOT it. It’s cramped AF inside.
