The last thing I want is a pick up truck, but you’re 100% right. It’s probably a sound investment. Unless it turns out to be poorly made.

With this, Ford passes 200k ev tax credit limit within a year. Contractors, who don’t need hundreds of miles of range, will snap these up.
If they can’t prove they were there, then they can’t arrest them.
I know. My N52 I6 128i with performance exhaust sounds pretty damned good. I hope to still have it in 2050.
“when it wasn’t a clear case of blatant police murdering.”
“They’re deadly and almost always unnecessary, but cops seem to love them, so I guess we’ll live with it.”
You still have to stop. We don’t have perpetual motion machines (yet).
Funny you mention 2.0. BMWs 2.0 sounds like a malaise era blender. I know, I have one.
Agree with you. The bigger problem for HSR in the US is the lack of urban centrality and transit connectivity in most US cities. However, if we built HSR, we will need careful land planning to support it. We cannot double down on sprawl, building HSR stations like airports far from the city center and disconnected…
The Shinkansen is expensive, but there are slower/cheaper options, especially if you book in advance. Are those low cost airfares available at the walk-up counter, day of flight?
If you think of US states like EU countries, you’ll find that in many cases HSR in the US would be comparable to many European countries. It works well on corridors or within states/regions. Think California. Or the Northeast. Texas. Florida. Midwest.
Shorter distances, like SAT-DFW, are much better served by electric high speed rail. That’s why France is on its way to banning flights under certain distances, where HSR is available.
It really doesn’t. It doesn’t have AWD option or real quick charging.
The poor-mans Porsche Panamera. Or Taycan (if they make an EV version).
No, not based on this. Our energy system is vulnerable to cyber attacks. Many of our systems are.
I’m excited for it.

Disagree 100%.
The perfect ES250 has a manual transmission. :)
What the hell is up with these sellers?
